Best Managed Company and Sustainability Award: Pietro Fiorentini awarded again
02 November 2023 - CorporateFor the third consecutive year, Pietro Fiorentini has received the Best Managed Companies Award, a recognition for Made in Italy entrepreneurial excellence promoted by Deloitte Private, ALTIS Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, ELITE-Gruppo Euronext and Confindustria Piccola Industria.
The 79 winners of the sixth edition of the Best Managed Companies Award were identified analysing six criteria:
- strategy;
- skills and innovation
- commitment and corporate culture;
- governance and performance measurement;
- corporate social responsibility
- internationalisation and supply chain
A jury of experts formed by Fabio Antoldi, Professor of Business Strategy at ALTIS Università Cattolica, Renato Goretta, member of the National Presidential Council of Piccola Industria of Confindustria, and Marta Testi, CEO of Elite-Gruppo Euronext, awarded the prize to Italian companies that have demonstrated excellent managerial skills even in today’s complex international scenario.
The award followed the Sustainability Award obtained last October: Pietro Fiorentini has been included in the ranking of the top 100 performing Italian sustainable companies that have achieved the most significant ESG rating increases following their participation in the previous edition.
Conceived by Kon Group and promoted together with ELITE, the award is a tribute to the best Italian companies that have distinguished themselves in areas related to sustainable development, social responsivity, and respect for the environment. ALTIS Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and Reprisk assigned them a ESG Rating: the prize is based on a mathematical score, without a jury, to reward those that have best expressed the ability to pursue sustainable, inclusive and stable growth, creating added value for the community as well.

The Deloitte Best Managed Companies Award was established in Canada in 1993 and grew year on year in terms of number of countries involved. Through the analysis of critical success factors identified by Deloitte and a selection methodology that has been developed for more than 25 years at an international level, the objective of this initiative is not only to collect best practices that serve as an example for all other companies, but also to create a process of stimulus and support dedicated to the Best Managed Companies themselves for their continuous improvement. www2.deloitte.com
