From a network to another
Through transmission pipelines, gas travels at high pressures. When it reaches the distribution network, however, it must be compliant to the contractual specifications of the delivery: this means that solid residues and liquids must be filtered out, the pressure must be reduced and the gas must be heated to counteract the cooling effect of the pressure reduction. Pietro Fiorentini designs, manufactures and installs these stations, called “city gates” because are usually located just outside the urban areas, totally customisable in the various components on the basis of the customer’s requirements and national regulations.
